Marcy Petrini is a nationally known fiber artist, teacher and writer. She weaves and knits one-of-a-kind pieces for exhibits and her writing, sometimes incorporating her handspun, with the goal of marrying color, fiber, and structure. She teaches weaving, spinning and knitting locally and at various fiber conferences and guilds, and has been the Craftsmen’s Guild fiber instructor since 1981. She is a Contributing Special Feature Writer and columnist for the award-winning quarterly, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot. She has served in various leadership positions with local, regional, and national organizations including the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi, and the Handweavers’ Guild of America of which she is a past president and currently serving on its Advisory Council.
