Stained Glass Summer Camp w/ Jenny Thomas

The use of colored glass is art is something that can be dated back to ancient civilizations.  Both Egypt and Rome excelled at producing vibrantly colored glass and making art with it.  The vibrancy of colors along with the transparency of glass makes stained glass an art form that has survived for thousands of years.  This June, glass artist Jenny Thomas will lead a 4-day camp in crafting your very own framed stained glass artwork.  Participants will visualize their piece, cut and grind glass to the desired shapes, and solder the pieces together.  By the end of the week, you will have a beautiful piece of art to hang in your window and catch the sun!

Due to safety concerns with equipment, stained glass camp is for ages 13+. Exceptions made on a case by case basis.
